The Italian Organic Skincare You Need to Be Using

Italian Organic Skincare

Italian women take pride in their beauty, skincare, and haircare routine. As with most things, they choose quality products. For skincare, that means products that are clean, work well, and are made in Italy.

Since moving back to the States after living in Italy, it’s been quite a challenge to find Italian skincare that is both organic and works well for my skin.

I had become so accustomed to having quality, organic skincare products available while living in Italia. Back in America, there was a lack of availability of these products and my skin was noticing the neglect. Vibrancy, smooth texture, and hydration were missing.

All of that changed for me at the beginning of this year. I want to give you an honest review and in my opinion, tell you about the Italian organic skincare you need to be using.

Searching for Organic Skincare

And Why it Matters

I knew I wanted to find organic skincare. We all know that our skin is our largest organ and it matters what we are absorbing day in and day out. No one wants to be absorbing harsh additives and chemicals that are hormone disruptors, can cause all kinds of problems, and harm your health.

At the beginning of this year, I was searching the internet for organic skincare options. I was reading blog reviews like this one to see what others had discovered..

I began comparing products and ingredient lists to make an informed decision. So often, if you are looking for organic options, the products can appear lesser quality compared to most luxury skincare. In fact, I had tried out an organic brand months prior, but had been disappointed as the products felt greasy and sat on the surface of my skin. Clean skincare can also get a bad wrap being referred to as crunchy products that are just packed with natural oils. But using clean skincare is an important issue we need to pay attention to.

Did you know that in only 26 seconds toxins are absorbed from hair, skin, body, and nail products? Twenty. Six. Seconds. I’m not trying to over dramatize the situation. But it would seem that us women are being poisoned. According to the Huffington Post, without even knowing it, the average woman puts 515 chemicals onto her body each day.

What is really frustrating is that while I was living in Italy, it really *was* different. My first visit to my dermatologist in Rome was eye opening. I asked him where I could find a topical cream I had been using in America. The product was used to help even out skin tone issues from melasma. He looked at me with shock and told me to NEVER use a product like that as the main ingredient is proven to cause cancer. He said I would not be able to find anything like that in all of Europe because that main ingredient was banned.

By the end of 2023, the European Union banned more than 2,200 chemicals used in personal care products. The United States had banned 11. Yes, only 11. By the way, that product I had been using from a very popular skincare company is still on the market today and women all over America are using it. Yikes. Like ingredients in our food, Italy values and chooses quality first. I’m going to side with Italy and Europe on this one.

Back to the internet search.

In my search, I stumbled across a brand called Sole Toscana. Their website stated, “Pure Luxury for your skin: organic skincare from the Italian countryside.” I was curious.

After pondering whether I should give it a try, I decided to go for it after reading about their organic standards. More on that below.

Loving the Products

I ordered the 4-Step Sole Toscana Skincare Set. It includes the basic four products you need for your daily skincare routine.

When I received my Sole Toscana order, I have to say that I loved the packaging. Opening the box and pulling out each individual product felt like a gift to myself. The 4-Step Set also includes a small, cotton bag that is the perfect size to store away your products or to travel with.

After using the products for the first time, I was instantly a fan. I loved the way the products didn’t contain extra fragrance, yet smelled naturally lovely. Each product went on smoothly and my skin instantly felt hydrated.

You don’t have to use a large amount, either. Love this, because that means the products last longer!

Although I loved the way the products felt on my skin, I would have to give it some time and see if my skin noticed the difference as well.

Falling in Love with Italian Organic Skincare

After about a month of using this Italian organic skincare, my skin began to change. I was already seeing visible signs of vitality to my skin. The texture was smoother with an improved, even tone. My husband and friends were commenting on the changes, too.

I was looking forward to using the products each morning and evening. My skincare routine was feeling more like a visit to the spa.

By this time, I had fallen in love with Sole Toscana’s products. So, I decided to reach out to the brand and asked about collaborating in some way. I wanted to be a part of this seed-to-skin concept from the country I love so very much.

After reaching out to Sole Toscana, I began to form a relationship and over time, I was able to try more of their products. The Hydrating Mask and the La Dolce Vita Elixir are both excellent products that I highly recommend as well!
